McConnel have launched an exciting New range of medium duty flail mowers to complement the existing flail mower range.

The Magnum mowers are suitable for mounting onto the 3 point linkage of compact tractors of 20hp and over. Ideally suited for cutting scrub, bramble clearance, road side mowing, orchard grass cutting, playing fields and park land mowing, public rights of way, etc.

The tractor’s PTO supplies power to the gearbox, mounted on the top of the flail mower’s low profile casing. This in turn supplies power to the rotor shaft via a belt pulley system.

The mower's rotor shaft, depending upon the model, can carry either heavy duty ‘whale tale’ flails or back to back cutting ‘Y’ flails for a constant even cut.

Simple height adjustment can be made from altering the height of the standard rear roller. Safety features on the Magnum Series comes in the way of a standard front flap kit to prevent loose material being thrown forward at the tractor unit and full length skid shoes to prevent damage to flail mowers casing.
