Hand-Arm Vibration testing - Now Available!
GGM Groundscare is pleased to announce that we have expanded our range of services and are now offering HAVS testing.
GGM Groundscare are specialists in all types of professional groundscare equipment. All our engineers have an extensive knowledge of the groundscare machinery and are experienced in HAV testing.
Hand-Arm Vibration occurs when vibrations are transmitted from work processes into workers hands and arms. It can be caused by operating hand-held power tools, such as chainsaws, strimmers, hedgecutters and hand-guided equipment such as powered lawn mowers. It is an industrial disease which affects the blood vessels, nerves, muscles and joints of the hand, wrist and arm.
Why should you have your equipment tested by GGM?
Under the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005, employers have a legal duty to assess the vibration risks posed to employees who use hand-held or hand-guided power equipment.
Having accurate vibration figures for your equipment helps you to protect your work force from Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) and other related illnesses, reducing absence, increasing productivity and supporting you to meet your legal duties under the regulations.
Our testing is performed by trained staff, quite literally in the field, either at your work place or at our site in Colne. By testing the equipment on hedges and grass areas, we can be sure we're measuring the vibration levels accurately for each piece of equipment.
If your machine fails to meet the vibration levels set by the product manufacturer, we will aim to get it back within specification whilst on site.
